Tender meatballs coated in a sticky, flavorful honey garlic sauce, perfect for parties, game day, or a cozy comfort meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds frozen meatballs
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce (low-sodium preferred)
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, ketchup, rice vinegar, garlic, and red pepper flakes (optional).
  2. Place the frozen meatballs into your slow cooker and pour the sauce evenly over the top to coat.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally to ensure the meatballs are evenly coated.
  4. If the sauce needs thickening, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water and stir this slurry into the slow cooker during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  5. Once the meatballs are tender and the sauce is glossy, transfer them to a serving dish or keep them warm in the slow cooker for guests.

Notes

[‘Taste the sauce before pouring it over the meatballs to adjust sweetness or tanginess.’, ‘Stir occasionally to ensure even coating and prevent sauce from pooling.’, ‘For extra garlic flavor, sauté the minced garlic in oil before adding it to the sauce.’, ‘Avoid overcrowding the slow cooker for even cooking.’]
