Creamy, cheesy, seafood-stuffed shells baked in a bubbling marinara sauce make for a restaurant-quality dinner that’s easy to prepare and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • Jumbo pasta shells
  • Ricotta cheese
  • Cooked seafood (shrimp, crab meat, or a mix)
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Grated Parmesan cheese
  • Egg
  • Garlic, minced
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Marinara sauce
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the jumbo pasta shells until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, cooked seafood, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Using a spoon, carefully fill each pasta shell with the seafood mixture.
  4. Pour half of the marinara sauce into the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Arrange the stuffed shells in the dish, then top with the remaining marinara sauce.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the shells.
  6. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Let the dish cool for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For a creamier variation, substitute marinara sauce with Alfredo sauce. Add a splash of milk to the filling if it seems too thick. Taste the filling before stuffing the shells to ensure seasoning is perfect.
