Decadent chocolate brownies paired with a vibrant raspberry swirl, perfect for parties and dessert lovers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup raspberry preserves

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter and chocolate chips. Heat in 20-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir in the melted chocolate mixture until fully combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually fold this into the wet mixture, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Transfer the brownie batter to your prepared pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  6. Dollop the raspberry preserves onto the surface of the batter. Use a toothpick or skewer to swirl the preserves into the batter, creating a marbled effect.
  7. Place the pan in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes. The edges should be set, but the center will still be slightly fudgy. A toothpick inserted into the middle should come out with moist crumbs.
  8. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before lifting them out using the parchment paper overhang. Slice into squares and serve.

Notes

Refrigerating the brownies for an hour before slicing gives cleaner cuts and makes the swirls pop even more. Avoid overmixing the batter to maintain a fudgy texture.
