Pink Lady Cocktail

Pink Lady cocktail recipe - featured image

A classic, refreshingly light cocktail with a perfectly balanced sourness and silky egg white foam, easy to make at home in just a few minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz gin (London Dry recommended)
  • 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz grenadine syrup
  • 1 large egg white
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon twist or maraschino cherry (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Chill your cocktail glass in the freezer or with ice water for 5 minutes.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz gin, 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice, 1/2 oz grenadine syrup, and 1 large egg white.
  3. Seal the shaker and dry shake vigorously for 15 seconds without ice to create froth.
  4. Add ice cubes to the shaker and shake again hard for 20-30 seconds to chill and dilute the cocktail.
  5. Discard ice from the chilled glass and strain the cocktail into it using a fine mesh strainer.
  6. Garnish with a lemon twist or maraschino cherry and serve immediately.

Notes

Use fresh lemon juice for best flavor. Dry shake without ice is essential for frothy egg white foam. Use pasteurized egg whites if concerned about raw eggs. For vegan version, substitute egg white with 2 tablespoons aquafaba. Avoid over-diluting by shaking with ice for 20-30 seconds only. Chill glass before serving to keep cocktail cold longer.
