A vibrant and flavorful dip combining ruby-red cranberries, creamy cream cheese, and a kick of jalapeño heat. Perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries, washed and sorted
  • 12 fresh jalapeños, seeds removed for less heat
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 23 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Crackers or tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. Rinse the cranberries under cold water and pat them dry. Remove any bruised or damaged ones.
  2. In a food processor, pulse the cranberries until finely chopped but not pureed. Transfer them to a mixing bowl.
  3. Slice the jalapeños in half, remove seeds if desired, and finely chop or pulse them in the food processor. Add them to the cranberries.
  4. Stir in the sugar, cilantro, green onions, lime juice, and salt. Mix until everything is well combined. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the mixture for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld together.
  5. Let the cream cheese soften at room temperature. Once softened, spread it evenly onto your serving dish, creating a flat layer.
  6. Spoon the chilled cranberry mixture over the cream cheese layer. Spread it evenly, leaving a little of the cream cheese peeking out for aesthetic appeal.
  7. Serve with sturdy crackers, pita chips, or tortilla chips.
