A quick and easy summer snack featuring frozen grapes paired with creamy semi-soft cheese, perfect for refreshing beach days or light gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (300g) seedless grapes (red or green)
  • 8 ounces (225g) semi-soft cheese (Havarti, Monterey Jack, or mild cheddar), cut into bite-sized cubes or slices
  • Optional: pinch of fresh thyme or black pepper for seasoning

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the grapes thoroughly to prevent ice crystals during freezing (about 5 minutes).
  2. Spread grapes individually on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring they do not touch.
  3. Freeze grapes for 2-3 hours until completely frozen solid.
  4. Cut cheese into 1-inch bite-sized cubes or slices; optionally sprinkle with black pepper or chopped thyme.
  5. Assemble snack packs by combining about 1 cup (150g) of frozen grapes with 4 ounces (115g) of cheese cubes in small containers or resealable bags.
  6. Store assembled packs in the freezer or refrigerator until ready to eat. Enjoy straight from the freezer or let sit for 5 minutes to soften the cheese slightly.

Notes

Dry grapes thoroughly before freezing to avoid ice crystals. Freeze grapes spaced apart to prevent clumping. Use semi-soft cheeses like Havarti or Monterey Jack for best texture. Let snack sit out a few minutes if cheese is too firm. For dairy-free option, substitute cheese with firm plant-based alternatives like cashew cheese.
