These no-bake football-shaped Oreo truffles are a game day favorite, made with just 5 ingredients and ready in 45 minutes. They’re creamy, rich, and disappear faster than the wings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies (regular, not Double Stuf)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 12 oz dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips (60% cacao recommended)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening
  • 2 oz white chocolate chips or melting wafers
  • Optional: ½ teaspoon coconut oil (to thin white chocolate)

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreos: Place the entire package of Oreos (filling included) in a food processor. Pulse until you get fine crumbs, about 15-20 seconds. You should have about 3 cups of crumbs.
  2. Soften the cream cheese: Take cream cheese out of the fridge 20 minutes before starting. It should be soft enough to press a finger into without resistance.
  3. Mix the filling: In a large bowl, combine Oreo crumbs and softened cream cheese. Mix with a spatula or your hands until completely combined, like dark, fudgy cookie dough. If too dry, add a tablespoon of milk; if too wet, add more crushed Oreos.
  4. Shape the footballs: Scoop about 1 tablespoon of mixture. Roll into a ball, then pinch the ends to create an oval football shape. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat for 24-28 truffles.
  5. Chill the truffles: Freeze for 15 minutes or refrigerate for 30 minutes until firm.
  6. Melt the chocolate coating: Place dark chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring between each, until smooth (about 90 seconds total).
  7. Dip the truffles: Working one at a time, drop a truffle into melted chocolate. Use two forks to roll until fully coated. Lift out, let excess drip off, and place back on parchment.
  8. Make the laces: Melt white chocolate in a small bowl (20-second bursts). Transfer to a piping bag or zip-top bag with corner snipped. Pipe thin lines across each truffle to resemble football laces.
  9. Final chill: Refrigerate decorated truffles for at least 20 minutes to set the chocolate.

Notes

Keep hands slightly damp when rolling truffles to prevent sticking. Don’t overmix the filling to avoid greasiness. Temperature is key: truffles should be freezer-cold but not rock-hard before dipping. Work in batches, keeping remaining truffles chilled. If a truffle falls apart in chocolate, fish out pieces and eat them.
