This Easy Candy Corn Bark with White Chocolate and Pretzels is a quick and impressive Halloween treat that combines sweet, salty, and crunchy textures. Made with just four main ingredients, it comes together in about 10 minutes of active time and is perfect for last-minute parties or holiday snacking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 ounces (450g) white chocolate, chopped (e.g., Ghirardelli or Lindt)
  • 1 cup (100g) mini pretzel twists or pretzel sticks
  • 1 cup (200g) candy corn (e.g., Brach’s)
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • Optional: flaky sea salt, orange and black sprinkles, chopped peanuts or pecans, dark chocolate for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Line a half-sheet baking pan (18×13 inches) with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat, letting the paper extend up the sides slightly. Set aside.
  2. If using white chocolate bars, chop them into small, uniform pieces about the size of peas. If using white chocolate chips, skip this step.
  3. Fill a small saucepan with about 2 inches of water and bring to a gentle simmer. Place a heatproof bowl on top, ensuring the bottom does not touch the water.
  4. Add the chopped white chocolate and coconut oil to the bowl. Stir gently and constantly with a rubber spatula until smooth, glossy, and completely liquid (about 3-5 minutes). Remove from heat immediately.
  5. Test the temperature: dip a clean finger into the chocolate; it should feel warm but not hot (around 90-95°F). If too hot, let cool for a minute.
  6. Pour the melted white chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet. Spread into an even layer about 1/4-inch thick using the spatula.
  7. Working quickly while the chocolate is still wet, arrange the mini pretzel twists on top, pressing them gently so they are partially submerged. Space them evenly, leaving gaps for candy corn.
  8. Sprinkle the candy corn evenly over the wet chocolate, pressing each piece gently so it sticks. Avoid overcrowding.
  9. If using optional toppings (flaky sea salt, sprinkles, chopped nuts, or dark chocolate drizzle), add them now while the chocolate is still wet.
  10. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely firm and set. Alternatively, let set at room temperature for about 2 hours.
  11. Once set, lift the parchment paper to remove the bark from the pan. Place on a cutting board and break into irregular pieces with your hands, or use a sharp knife or pizza cutter for more uniform squares.
  12. Transfer to a serving platter or store in an airtight container. The bark will keep well for up to two weeks.

Notes

Use good quality white chocolate for best results. White chocolate is sensitive to heat; do not let it exceed 110°F or it may seize. Work quickly once chocolate is melted as it sets fast. Let all ingredients come to room temperature before starting. For gluten-free option, use gluten-free pretzels. The bark can be frozen for up to 3 months.
