A quick and easy recipe for garlic butter mushrooms that are irresistibly flavorful and perfect as a side dish or topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound (450 grams) cremini or button mushrooms, cleaned and trimmed
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Clean the mushrooms by gently wiping them with a damp paper towel.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter. Let the butter melt completely.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
  4. Add the mushrooms and stir until they’re coated in the garlic butter sauce.
  5. Cook the mushrooms for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they release their juices and shrink slightly.
  6. Season with salt and pepper. Taste and adjust as needed.
  7. Once the mushrooms are golden and tender, stir in the remaining tablespoon of butter and fresh parsley.
  8. Optional: Drizzle with lemon juice for a fresh, zesty finish.
  9. Serve immediately while warm.
