  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (about 50g)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (about 50g)
  • 1/4 cup finely grated parmesan cheese (about 25g)
  • Olive oil, for brushing
  • Tomato sauce or pizza sauce, thinly spread
  • Italian seasoning blend, to taste
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: crushed red pepper flakes
  • Optional: garlic powder
  • Optional toppings: chopped fresh basil or oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Lay each tortilla flat on a cutting board and slice into 6 to 8 triangular pieces using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
  3. Place tortilla slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  4. Lightly brush the tops of the tortilla slices with olive oil.
  5. Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce on each tortilla slice using the back of a spoon.
  6. In a bowl, combine shredded mozzarella, shredded cheddar, and grated parmesan cheese.
  7. Sprinkle the cheese blend evenly over the sauced tortilla slices.
  8. Lightly dust the tops with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add crushed red pepper flakes if desired.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes until cheese melts and edges turn crisp and golden.
  10. Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 2 to 3 minutes to firm up.
  11. Transfer to a serving plate and enjoy warm or at room temperature.
