These cheesy garlic chicken wraps combine melted cheese, savory garlic, and juicy chicken in a warm tortilla for a comforting and flavorful fall dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast, boneless and skinless, cut into small strips
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, toss the chicken strips with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Set aside to marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken strips and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In a small bowl, mix melted butter with additional minced garlic and a pinch of red pepper flakes (if using). Stir well.
  4. Lay a tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread a spoonful of garlic butter onto the tortilla. Add a layer of shredded cheese, followed by the cooked chicken strips.
  5. Fold the tortilla tightly into a wrap. Place it back into the skillet, seam side down, and toast for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
  6. Remove the wraps from the skillet, slice in half, and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve warm.

Notes

[‘Don’t overcrowd the skillet; cook the chicken in batches if needed.’, ‘Use freshly grated cheese for better melting.’, ‘Warm the tortillas briefly on a skillet before assembling to make them more pliable.’, ‘Adjust seasoning to taste before assembling the wraps.’, ‘Watch the wraps carefully while toasting to avoid burning.’]
