Transform ordinary carrots into a sweet, buttery, and cinnamon-spiced side dish that’s perfect for any occasion. Quick, easy, and irresistibly delicious!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound carrots, peeled and cut into coins or sticks
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley or a sprinkle of nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Peel the carrots and slice into 1/4-inch thick coins or sticks for uniform cooking.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter. Swirl the pan to coat the bottom evenly once melted.
  3. Add the carrots to the skillet and sauté for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they start to soften.
  4. Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon over the carrots, stirring to coat them evenly.
  5. Drizzle the honey over the carrots and stir again. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and glazes the carrots.
  6. Season with a pinch of salt and give everything a final stir. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  7. Optional: Garnish with chopped parsley or a light sprinkle of nutmeg before serving.

Notes

For a vegan version, use vegan butter and maple syrup instead of honey. Uniform slicing ensures even cooking, and low heat prevents burning the glaze. Adjust sweetness and cinnamon to taste.
