Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 cup diced jalapeños (optional)
  • 2 tbsp sliced green onions (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Use a hand mixer or whisk to blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the shredded cheddar cheese, hot sauce, chili powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is well combined.
  4. Fold in the diced jalapeños (if using) for an extra kick of heat.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a small oven-safe baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly. The edges should start to brown slightly.
  7. Remove the dip from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
  8. Serve warm with your favorite dippers, like tortilla chips, pita bread, or veggie sticks.

Notes

Make sure the cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps. Adjust the spice level to suit your taste by adding more or less hot sauce and jalapeños. Freshly grated cheddar cheese melts better and has a richer flavor than pre-shredded cheese.
